The Future of the church
Richard WaialealeRevelation 6:1 (NIV)
1 I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, "Come!"
This is probably the hardest chapter(6) in Revelation to read. Looking at the truth in the face of God’s Word. Often times when the truth is revealed about ourselves, or about our community, in the island we live or our nation and the world - it’s disheartening, yet brutally honest. We’re talking about the struggles and with all the attacks and violence, we’re looking at real life examples. This chapter confirms about what’s happening today, and what we can expect for tomorrow.
So what period am I experiencing right now, and what is my action plan?
We’re in the pre-tribulation and before the rapture happens I’d better get my house in order and start reaching out to save lives and win souls over to Jesus. That has always been my game plan, and I’m sticking with it. Jesus needs all hands on deck. I must stand firm and strong in the Lord Jesus and get as many people on board, to Him as I possibly can. But when I read these books of the Bible, although it’s often difficult to understand most parts, what I do see is they reveal to me the truth and I need to keep my eyes on Jesus.
Thank you Lord for being brutally honest in revealing the truth through the book of Revelation. I need to study it more deeply and take my time with understanding what Jesus is showing me. Amen.
