“I AM LORD GOD”
Rod Shimabukuro“So I will consecrate the tent of meeting and the altar and will consecrate Aaron and his sons to serve me as priests. 45Then I will dwell among the Israelites and be their God. 46They will know that I am the Lord their God, who brought them out of Egypt so that I might dwell among them. I am the Lord their God. Exodus 29:44-45
Instructions were given on how to consecrate Aaron and his sons as priests, representing the children of Israel. Their priestly garments were designed and crafted according to God’s instructions. The details given for the various garments were intricate.
Given the attention to detail and specifics of each instruction, I think there’s an intentional importance communicated to all parties involved: Aaron, his sons, the designers, the spiritual leaders and children of Israel.
A big theme of what’s being communicated is the importance of who God is, as the Lord their God. He is their personal, intimate, and involved God, who sought relationship with His children.
One of the characteristics that I feel is lacking in me, in spiritual leadership - is the fear of a holy, awesome, powerful, mighty, loving God! The magnitude of who he is is well deserving of approaching Him with a holy, God fearing reverence.
He is well deserving of my heart and life yielded in obedience to having a consecrated heart and life. Is He really the “I AM LORD GOD” over my mouth, thoughts, words - when no one is looking, watching? YIKES again!
Dear Daddie!
I’m in love with You - and thank you for showing me Your love. For filling me with Your Holy Spirit to know, be guided, spoken to - through Your Word - to worship You. I really want You to be the “I AM LORD GOD” over every part of my life…today, right now…into tomorrow…! I Love You of rYou are the I AM LORD GOD!
