Communicating Face To Face
Richard Waialeale2 John 1:12 (NIV)
12 I have much to write to you, but I do not want to use paper and ink. Instead, I hope to visit you and talk with you face to face, so that our joy may be complete.
In today’s advancements in computer and cellphone technology, the demand to communicate in a split second has caused us to lose lose the heart behind good old relational face to face contact.
John indicated that he had so much more to write to the church but preferred a face-to-face communication. He was anticipating a visit soon, and then he would have much more to say to them. Such a personal visit would make his joy complete.
Emails and texting are great advances to communicate, but I must never lose the art of good old face to face, personal communication.
Have you ever texted someone or emailed a person and they misread your heart behind your message because of the loss of that personal touch, that face to face communication?
Sometimes, communicating in person can be crucial. But the truth is, there’s nothing like a face to face hug, handshake or simply connecting in person. I must never get so caught up with my busyness of texting and emailing that I lose that intimate touch of simply meeting face to face with people. Decide when and what times are best for me to communicate in person, and add that personal touch.
Psalms 143:1 (NIV)
O Lord, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy; in your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief. I speak to You Lord face to Face and not just in what I write. Thank you hearing my prayers, in Jesus Name. Amen.
