Look Beyond The Personalities To See The Priority
Richard Waialeale1 Timothy 5:24-25 (NIV)
24 The sins of some men are obvious, reaching the place of judgment ahead of them; the sins of others trail behind them.
25 In the same way, good deeds are obvious, and even those that are not cannot be hidden.
These scriptures remind me of certain people in the Christian faith that preach Jesus but with wrong motives.
Some time ago I witnessed a gentleman claiming to have the ability to heal. He would lay hands in the name of Jesus but his ulterior motive was bad. There was some good that came out of this, and that peoples faith sky rocketed beyond what it would normally be. I often wondered why God would allow this underline sin to happen? No one could see the ulterior motive happening in front of us. Eventually he was guilty of borrowing money and left the church.
Paul instructs me to keep my eyes on the priorities (Jesus). Even if those guys have a bad motive, if they’re preaching the truth about Christ, God's probably going to use it anyway (that’s difficult to swallow).
Paul realized those types of people aren’t going to get any blessings for preaching with wrong motives but their life might bless somebody else. He says, I don’t care because the priority thing is happening. Jesus is preached.
I can’t see the evil happening right in front of me and God is in control and they will one day have to give an account to God.
But if I do recognize wrong be done in the church, I must squash it immediately.
Lord I pray that in spite circumstances around me, help me to keep my eyes on You. Your amazing grace is all I need, In Jesus Name I Pray. Amen.
