WE SERVE, WHO or WHAT WE WORSHIP
Rod ShimabukuroAgain, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.” Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only. Matthew 4:8-10
After being baptized, Jesus is called into a fight, not just with the devil, but with His own humanity. Yes, the Son of God was tempted. He fought temptation which means He fought and resisted sin.
I personally don’t think the fight against temptation and sinning ended after this wilderness experience. Jesus as the Son of Man, God come in human form - was tempted to sin until the cross and HIs death.

What part of this world’s kingdom, am I willing to, or do I bow down to worship?
I’m reminded that my desires or affections can lead to a “worship experience.”
What I believe, will influence and determine my behavior. Who or what I worship or adore, will affect the way I live. Simply - Who or What I love, I will live for. I want to WORSHIP YOU - and SERVE YOU!
Dear Spirit of God. Please help me to worship and serve You only! Please continue to convict me of any unrighteous worship and service - within my heart! O God…forgive me of worshiping and adoring me…to much. It’s subtle - but it’s there! Thank You for Your example of fighting sin! I Love You!
