Small Groups
Richard WaialealeJames 5:16 (NIV)
16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
This scripture reminds me of being in a small group. Small Groups are an amazing part of church ministry that gives people an opportunity for greater dependency on each other and results in spiritual growth. Sometimes other people are going to find healing in the wounds that happened in your life in a small group. It expands our capacity to minister and allows the group to pray for each other (the power of prayer). It teaches us to get along with each other and to love your neighbor as scripture instructs us too.
This August the church is starting a small group campaign by offering dates for small group training, and launching a small group series in September. I need to ensure that the training session for August is fun and informational and we transition a seamless launch for September. My goal is to see NHO as a small group church. Keep the enthusiasm and excitement and get into a small group and spiritually grow - In Jesus Name.
Lord my prayer is that You guide us through this season of getting the big church into small groups and helping us to draw closer to You. Thank you for the book of James and the valuable lessons - In Jesus Name. Amen.
