Our God Is Bigger
Marsha Kochi1 Samuel 17:24-25"When all the men of Israel saw the man, they fled from him and were greatly afraid. The men of Israel said, "Have you seen this man who is coming up? Surely he is coming up to defy Israel. And it will be that the king will enrich the man who kills him with great riches and will give him his daughter and make his father's house free in Israel."
The men of Israel were afraid and intimidated by how huge Goliath was. They quickly turned to fear instead of trusting God to see them through.
God is bigger then whatever we may go through, we know this, yet we waste our time trying to think of what we can do to resolve the situation. Instead of turning to Him, we take it upon ourselves to try and resolve the situation. I want my trust in Him to come before my strategizing. My first response needs to be in prayer. I need to seek His wisdom, because mine alone, doesn't work.
Thank You Lord, for being bigger then the giants in life that I may encounter. Forgive me for the times that I have taken it upon myself to battle when I face these giants. Help me to seek You first, and allow You, to be Lord of my life.
