Come Out...There’s Hope!

Rod Shimabukuro

Scripture

Then I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you take part in her sins, lest you share in her plagues; Revelation 18:4

Observation

There’s not much hope (it seems) in and through the judgement being envisioned by John. A calling out to the church by John is highlighted in my heart. There’s a call out to escape. There’s a way out offered before sharing in judgement. This is sooooo redemptive! Salvation is offered.

”My people“ is so loving, so personal, so intimate. This is the convent character of God as He calls ”My people“ out of the judgement to come.

A couple of other observations: Death, sacrifice and all that accompanies this kind of torment and persecution has taken place and will continue to. When the autopsy is performed on Babylon and she is ”cut open“ - the reminder of horrific pain will surface.

And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all who have been slain on earth.” 19:1 After this I heard what seemed to be the loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, crying out, “Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God, Revelation 18:24-19:1

But it’s so hard to stop reading. Look at the hope immediately seen and written by John! HALLELUJAH!!... the greatness of who God is and all that belongs to Him is still the pinnacle of our hope!

Application

For me, God is calling me out. COME OUT Rod...There’s Hope! My hope is in the greatness of God - Who He is and what He possesses! Salvation, power, glory... is what I experience because of who He is!

So today...I’m coming out!! :) Coming out of my ”worldliness“ will give me life, rather than being or staying in ”my Babylon world“ lest I take part in ”her sins.“ If I stay there, I will experience the consequences of mine and other people’s sins and judgment.

Specifically, I’m coming out of my stink in’ thinking’. Negativity, attitudes of my sinful flesh, my lusts and pride is the world of Babylon God is calling me out of!

Prayer

YAHOOO GOD! Salvation belongs to You, given to me. Thank you for this hopeful, saving word! Thank you for calling me out of darkness into Your great and marvelous light! God... thank you for making me clean, pure, renewing my mind and heart. I feel sooooooo good and clean and pure and revived! Thank YOU!!!
