The Fulfillment of God's Promises

Marsha Kochi

Scripture

1 Corinthians 15: 24 Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death.

Observation

The finished work of redemption, His saving grace; His forgiveness of our sins that we would have life everlasting with Him. Jesus is Lord, and He reigns now as He destroys and defeats the enemy. Giving Glory to the Father.

Application

It's hard to imagine a world without disease, loneliness, sadness, addictions, anger, and all the other problems that we face today. I can feel all alone as I go through struggles, I can get depressed and feel like this is it, I can't do it any more. I can look at others and compare my life to theirs, and start to feel hopeless again. But instead, what a gift we have in Jesus, who is Lord and He reigns now. We will never be alone, fighting our battles by ourselves.

Prayer

Thank You Lord for the hope that we have in You. Help me to have great faith in You, to know beyond any doubt that I am walking according to Your will. That as You prepare me with faith, that I will endure as You battle, destroy and defeat the enemy.
