Spiritual Bootcamp

Scripture

1 Timothy 4:7-8
"But have nothing to do with worldly fables fit only for old women. On the other hand, discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness; for bodily discipline is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.”

Observation

It's more important to train spiritually, to be Godly vs. training my body to be physically fit. Or rather more profitable. I can do more with the wisdom that I receive from the Word than the exercise that I go through every morning. When it comes to life, being spiritually fit is much more profitable.

Application

A reminder of priorities. In my daily routines, God has to be first. As much as I exercise physically, I need to be in top shape spiritually.

Prayer

Thank You for the daily spiritual bootcamp. It's awesome to get to workout with You Lord. Sometimes it can be spiritually painful to look deep into the inner person that You are bringing correction to. Just as painful as the physical work out at bootcamp. But all for the good.
