This is...MY GOD!

Rod Shimabukuro

Scripture
Deut. 32:4 He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.
Observation
Moses’ song sings of who God is, contrasted with v 5 where he describes the depravity of man. The children of Israel were constantly instructed and reminded of the nature and character of God - of who He is, because of who they were not. The symbolism of the Rock depicts not only strength but provision, where water gushed forth to provide the people drink. The Rock is not just an object of provision but a reminder of God’s faithfulness and greatness.
Application
My heart and spirit, my thoughts and feelings are super strengthened meditating on this passage, realizing the context of the people’s struggles and failures to be faithful, loyal and pure in keeping the commands of their God.

This is my God - the God that lives in me by His Spirit! This is my God - the God of strength, faithfulness, perfection, righteousness, fairness. His works are perfect - His ways just. All He does is PERFECT! His character in the way He conducts Himself is just, fair, righteous. Yes - this is the God I trust my heart, soul, life to! So I trust Him, while seeking Him to live correctly. I trust Him, while repenting daily for my ignorant, evil that I wrestle with in my inner man. I love my God, while growing to know Him through His most Holy and wondrous Word!
Prayer
You are my God and I Love You, Thank You, Fear You, Worship you!
