Take it to the Bank

Calvin Kochi

Scripture

S) @ Timothy 1:13-14

13What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus. 14Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you—guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us.

Observation

Paul encourages us to keep and to guard the things that he has taught us. Because he understands our human tendencies which is to drift and stray away from the things that strengthen and to deepen our Love for the Lord

Application

Paul reminds us to guard the good deposit that has been entrusted you. How well would I guard a million dollar, and what would I do with it. Some of us would say that one million dollars that not much if I had it I would buy everything that I couldn’t have and then save the rest. Some might say I never had it so I am going to enjoy it and do all the things that I would have never done. I’m going to splurge. Then others would I would want to invest it and us it wisely. Others would I’m going to take it straight to the bank. I want to make sure that the money is safe and secure. If I want to make sure that the good deposit that the Lord has give me is used wisely I can’t do it alone. The wisest thing that I could do is to find someone that I can entrust the help me to make the investment needed, why is getting help so hard for some of us. I’ve found that when I entrust the Holy Spirit to guide me and to teach me what to do and how to live. he directs me to the wisest counsel that I can get and shows me how to wisely invest what I have been entrusted. To many times I have entrusted myself and ended up wasting what I was given. I want to make sure I can keep what I have been given and if I invest wisely it will return so much more than I could of gotten had I taken to the bank.

Prayer

Thank ou for giving us the Holy Spirit without him it is impossible to live the life that you have called us to live. It is through the power of the Spirit that help me to make wise decisions
