Walking in Love and Forgiveness

Richard Waialeale

Scripture
Colossians 3:13-14 (NIV) 13 Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
Observation
In the church, I’ve experienced and seen many mistakes happen in ministry, and some hurt more then others. When we live in a place of forgiveness and love, it can be the next best thing to paradise. What I’ve come to realize is that New Hope was built on love and forgiveness. One person(PW) showed us how much he loved us as Jesus loved the church, how much was forgiven and we began to witness that same love spread like wild fire. It’s contagious, and the church just exploded in attendance, why? Because we too began to walk in love and forgiveness. It only goes to show how much the world is hungry for Jesus, and may not even know it.
Application
Colossians 3:15-17 (NIV)15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. When I walk in love and forgiveness, all of a sudden I am 10x better in spirit. All of a sudden I’m walking like Jesus.
Prayer
Father that’s my prayer that I go back to the basics of what you taught me. Walking in Love and Forgivenss. What a contatious thing, in Your Name I Pray these things, Amen.
