Who I am, And What I’m Doing Here

John Tilton

Scripture

Matthew 28:19

Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,20and teachingthem to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with youalways, to the very end of the age.”

Observation

This as we know is the great commandment and assignment from Jesus, to go forth sharing the good news of Jesus Christ; that people from all nations would come to know Him as their Lord and Savior. That they would be baptized and taught, knowing that Christ will be with us always and till the end of the ages, as we walk with Him and do His will.

Application

Today, I just want to get back to, and remember, who I am and what I’m doing here. I am a sinner saved by the good news of Jesus Christ, who died for my sins. I have been baptized and continue to be equipped to do my part in going forth to all that I am called to minister to, that they too might also get to know Jesus Christ as their Savior, and be baptized and taught all that Jesus commanded. I know I am, I know what I’m doing here.

Prayer

Dear Lord, thank you for saving me and being my Lord and Savior. I thank you that I have the privilege to continue serving you, knowing who I am in You, and why I am in the position that I am. I pray for the Holy Spirit to continue to lead and guide me on the path and purpose you’ve called me to.
