Partnering with God

John Tilton

Scripture
James 2:24 You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.
Observation
As noted in this chapter, Abraham, Rahab and many other mentors in the Bible have walked in faith, but have also acted in action to bring to fruition their requests and God’s will.
Application
As I’ve read the Word over time, I’ve read our important faith is to the believer, knowing that if one has faith as a muster seed, one can move mountains. Knowing that the word is true, how does this scripture and truth relate to faith working together with action, as opposed to standing on faith only? It seems that one can have faith that can move mountains, however, as we incorporate our action and works together with faith, God will be faithful to manifest His best for us, as many situations will in deed require our action and works. This means much to me in that it reaffirms that God calls me to partner with Him in serving Him and doing life. My part is to be obedient to His call and will including what He places before me and enables me to do, all the time presenting it all to Him for His blessings and power.
Prayer
Dear Lord, I thank you for your faithfulness, grace, love and power, as I thankfully partner with you in doing your will through faith and works.
