I See Jesus

Richard Waialeale

Scripture

Isaiah 53:5 (NIV)

5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.

Observation

It is the most incredible prophecy that Isaiah mentions Jesus time and time again in Scriptures. Isaiah is living some 700 years before Christ. His amazing revelation from God shows me how much God can communicate to us when we have an intimate relationship with Him. That’s the kind of relationship Isaiah has with God. Isaiah seems to have peace and wholeness because of how much he understands about what God shows him. How can I improve in my relationship with Jesus?

Application

Hearing God is all about that intimate relationship, He desires to have with us. The closer I can draw near to Him, the better I will know His heart. I truly believe that this is available for every person desiring to draw closer to Jesus.

I’ve learned five things to help me with my relationship with Jesus:

1. Admit that I need guidance. Dependance on God.

2. Ask in Faith for directions. I know God will answer.

3. Listen for God’s response. Recognize God’s gentle voice.

4. Trust God even when I don’t understand.

5. Act on what I already know.

When I can follow these principles, my relationship improves and I draw closer to Jesus.

Prayer

“Lord, I do need Your guidance in my life. I admit that I need it. I ask in faith that You will direct me. Help me to listen for Your response, to not get so busy that I can’t hear You, but to tune into You.

Father, when I don’t understand it, help me to trust You, realizing that You often have a pathway through the middle of an ocean that nobody else knows about. I need to act on what I already know. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
