Scripture

Hebrews 9:11-12

But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this crestion. Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.

Observation

Jesus who was the perfect sacrifice layed down His life so that we in turn would have eternal life. This reminds me of the veil in the temple that was torn in two. And the earth quaked, and the rocks were split. This all happened when Jesus said on the cross that "it is finished and He took His last breath."

Application

Jesus died and rose from the dead for me and for the people of the world. I'm very thankful that we are no longer required to sacrific any animals at the altar, but instead we can go straight to Jesus wherever we are. As it written in His Word, Jesus is our High Priest and he gives us the Holy Spirit that lives in us. There is no longer a veil that separates us from God. Separation no longer keeps us from our maker.

Prayer

Heavenly Father thank you very much for sending your Son Jesus to pay the ultimate sacrifice upon the cross that we may have life and life more abundantly. Jesus is my tabernacle, the rock of my salvation.Thank you that I am able to fellowship with you. I will be confidant in this life, because with Jesus the best is yet to come. In Jesus name Amen.
